Crystal of Excellence YRF, or “Bling” as she is called, is a two year old filly, born on April 17, 2014.
Bling’s dam, Camille, is a full sister to our mare Callie, one of the kindest souls we’ve met, whose willingness is only rivaled by her exceptional athleticism. Callie has shown in combined driving and dressage, and is trained through third level. In talking with Bling’s breeder, we discovered Camille is every bit as fabulous as her sister, having the rare mix of a quiet and patient attitude that is matched with a strong and powerful stride.

Bling is everything you’d expect from this fabulous cross, with athleticism and flashy gaits combined with a calm, bold disposition that will develop into an amazing performance partner. Whether you’re looking to head down the trail or across the marathon or cross country course, she won’t look twice at anything you point her at. She also carries her head up and has plenty of action if you’re looking for a hitch horse – just add some shoes and go!
She handles the show atmosphere and new places like a seasoned pro. At the 2015 AHR National Show she earned a third place in the competitive 2 & under in-hand trail class (her first time out, the only novice in a field of more experienced and older horses), and a fourth in halter. She is fully paid up and futurity eligible as well. Bling has accumulated points for the Haflinger Championship Challenge, and she is also enrolled in the AHR Ambassador and Golden Path Programs.
Bling handles easily, lunges well at all three gaits, and has been lightly started in long lines. She’s carried full harness, saddle pads, blankets, tarps, and anything else you’d care to throw over her. Clips, bathes, picks up her feet, loads and trailers well, and also stands single and cross tied. She is well behaved for vet and farrier, and up to date on everything (trimmed every six weeks, teeth floated in July). Should mature to 14.2-14.3 hands. She is acclimated 24/7 turnout but also does well stalled, and she keeps an exceptionally tidy stall.
