We welcomed “George” home early in 2016 when we simply couldn’t leave the AHR Registered Haflinger Sale without him. Standing at nearly 15 hands, it is hard to say whether we were more taken by George’s obvious presence and powerful gaits, or his laid back and kind personality. With a fabulous foundation laid by the talented Lonnie Schlabach, we look forward to refining this young gelding’s talent for the show ring, and also enjoying his calm curiosity out on the trail.

George made his rated show debut in June 2018, consistently scoring into the upper sixties and winning every test he entered, earning him the 2018 Dressage at Waterloo June Introductory Level Open Champion ribbon! Not a case of beginner’s luck, George attended five more rated shows throughout the season, bringing home Champion at each and every one, as well as winning the 2018 Waterloo Series Championship. 2019 brought a jump up in level – and yet another tri-color!

In our short time getting to know George, one thing has become very certain – his potential is limitless and we can’t wait to be a part of his bright future!
