After getting a bit stir crazy kept holed up all winter long, we couldn’t wait to get a head start on summer with the Albion College USDF Dressage Show. But at six weeks before the usual start to show season, it was unfortunately still April in Michigan and we spent a good chunk of the show just trying to stay warm. (For the record, FOUR is the limit to the number of layers I can shove under my tall boots and still get them – mostly – zipped). Despite some chilly temps, it was another beautifully run show that made it seem like show season will come someday soon! We all had some ups and downs and kinks to work out, but the show was a definitely success. We walked away with a couple good scores, plenty of ribbons, and LOTS to work on before the next trip out!
