And in a super fun change of pace, we spent the day at the Lone Tree Stables Summer Derby!
Addie went to Ride A Stride Performance Horses LLC in early March to be started under saddle, and Ian O Connor has been doing an absolutely fabulous job bringing her along. When he suggested a starter DERBY for her first schooling show, however, our little dressage hearts may have skipped a beat. Did she even know how to jump? Yes, yes she does. And she loves it. Many thanks to Ian for all of his hard work so far, and to Sophie Lewis for the expert piloting today. Not only was Addie a rock star who acted like she’d been to loads of shows, we’re not sure we’ve ever seen a horse have so much fun. Apparently we have a little event pony on our hands!
